About the role

Ontenet Digital Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our Product Development team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products by planning, executing, and maintaining testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Working closely with developers and project stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality software while driving continuous improvement in our QA processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.
  • Conduct API, database, performance, security, and load testing.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects while preparing test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Review software releases, recommend QA improvements, and support timely project delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and quality assurance initiatives.

 

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Minimum 3 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with manual & automated testing, API testing, SQL/database validation, defect tracking, Git, and debugging tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile application testing, WordPress testing, CI/CD, Docker, cloud environments, performance/load testing, and OWASP security practices.
  • Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
